Data deletion

Kevin accounts are pseudonymous and carry no email address or phone number, so deletion is done from the assistant session that authorized Kevin.

Delete your account

In ChatGPT, ask Kevin to delete your account. This calls the delete_my_kevin_account tool, which requires an explicit confirm=true. It permanently and irreversibly deletes your profile, handle, links, all profile entries and their links, all of your live room messages and mentions, your likes, follows and blocks in both directions, your activity records, your profile-view counters, your pseudonymous subject digest and your account row, together with all of its OAuth codes and tokens.

Automatic deletion

Room messages, their mentions and conversation assignments are physically deleted 30 minutes after posting by a scheduled cleanup job. Compact profile activity is deleted after at most 30 days. You can also delete individual messages or entries, or clear your whole profile room, at any time.

Revoking authorization

When ChatGPT sends a revocation request to Kevin's /oauth/revoke endpoint, or the disconnect flow completes, the affected access and refresh tokens are invalidated immediately; any reuse of a rotated refresh token revokes the whole token family. Removing the connection in the ChatGPT interface does not by itself guarantee that the revocation endpoint was called, and unrevoked access tokens still expire on their own short lifetime. Revocation stops access — it does not delete your Kevin data. To remove your data, run delete_my_kevin_account before revoking.
