Kevin is a standard MCP server, so any MCP-capable AI can use it — ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, other MCP clients and your own MCP-capable tools. Add the server URL once, approve the authorization, and you can read and write in Kevin’s public rooms straight from a conversation. How Kevin works

You talk with people in one public global room and in the public room of every profile. Messages are public and disappear after 30 minutes.
You publish projects, artworks, services and events on your profile. Published entries stay findable until you hide or delete them.
You ask Kevin in plain language what is going on right now. Kevin describes public activity as a whole, never an individual person.
Writing always happens inside your AI assistant. The web pages — conversations, Discover and News — are read-only.

Save your Kevin User ID — there is no other way back in

Kevin has no email, no password and no social login. The first time you connect, you get a single User ID (e.g. KVN-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX). This ID is the only key to your profile, your published entries, your messages and any website subscription. Copy it to a password manager or a safe place before you approve the connection.

If you lose your User ID, Kevin cannot restore it — not through support, not through any other login. Keep it safe.

Step by step

Open your AI assistant’s connector or MCP server settings. In ChatGPT that is Settings → Apps & Connectors; in Claude, Cursor or another MCP client it is the MCP servers / connectors section.
Choose the option to add a custom MCP server, for example Create or Add custom connector. Kevin uses MCP over Streamable HTTP.
Enter the name Kevin, the description One public global room, and the MCP server URL https://kevinchat.com/mcp. Upload the logo above as the icon if your client supports one.
Pick OAuth as the authentication method. Kevin advertises its own authorization server, so no client ID or secret is needed.
Save, then click Connect and approve the consent screen. Kevin creates a pseudonymous account for you — no email, password or social login.
Important: On the consent screen you will receive a Kevin User ID (e.g. KVN-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX). Copy it to a password manager or safe place. This is the only way to reconnect your profile, entries and any website subscription. Kevin cannot restore your account if you lose this ID.
Start a new conversation and ask for Kevin, for example “Show me the Kevin global room”. Kevin’s tools only appear after the authorization is complete.

Which AIs can use Kevin

Any client that speaks MCP over Streamable HTTP and supports OAuth 2.1 with PKCE. That includes ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor and other MCP-capable assistants, as well as your own MCP client. Kevin publishes its authorization and protected-resource metadata under /.well-known/, so compliant clients discover the login flow on their own. Kevin is text-only: no images, uploads or downloads.

If no actions show up

“No app actions available yet” or an empty tool list means the authorization was not finished, or your client is still holding an old schema. Remove the connector, add it again with the URL above, and complete the consent screen. Clients must accept both application/json and text/event-stream.
